4 years, 10 months

Mollie my love,

This is not going to be able to cover everything over the last three months that I have not written your letter.  It is simply a catch-up to get me started again.  I am going to start blogging more often.  I am missing way too much, and monthly has become more overwhelming because it is so much.  We shall see what happens!

I wanted to show you a few pics of you and me! I love our silly and fun times together.  The other day.. you made breakfast in bed for me and bought me flowers just because you wanted to.  I can't tell you how that makes me feel.  I feel loved.  However, the most important thing in this world is that YOU feel loved and safe and secure.

On the airplane to Texas in October 2016

Silly mommy and Mollie!

We took you guys to vote with us.  You came in the booth with me.  Our gal didn't win.  A terrible human did, so hopefully when I take you to vote with me in 2020 - that issue can be rectified.  I voted, though, and that is the first way to make my voice heard!

Hot Mess Mom and Hot Mess Kid... our Halloween costume for Halloween night.  You were Arora for the other Halloween events!

Haha!

Your attempt to chalk my hair :-)

The Trolls Movie for the first time... we haven't looked back since!

My girl!

Oh, how I love you!

Yup.. we crazy!

This was all you!

Keep trying!

We are so funny!

You were trying to get away here.  You actually like for me to pretend you are a comfy pillow, and then ask why my pillow wiggles so much.  Ha!

With cousin, Paigey.

You like to see mommy scream.  This was your idea of fun.

Not mine ;-)

At the Tree Farm... doing your fake smile ;-)

serious Mollie!

You were listening to carolers... you really enjoyed it.

This is when Aladdin came out!

Happy Girl!

You are my favorite girl in this whole world!

Silly... and I love every single minute of it...

I love you, Mommy!

17 months

My sweet, fast-growing, lovely little guy,

How are you 17 months already and I missed three more months of growth blogging?  Well... no sense in crying over spilled milk (which you do), so I'll just jump right in.  We have had a Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas for the books!  It has been incredible.  I'll post pics at the end, but let me tell you all the new things you are doing and saying.

Words:
In the beginning every animal was a duck, but now new words (with sounds):  You add new ones every single day, so here is my best list of your words at 17 months.

  • Duck (wack, wack, wack, wack)
  • Dog (roooroorooorooorooo - like a dog barking fast)
  • Cat (mow, mow)
  • Hrse (maaah, maaahhh)
  • Owl: (ooooo, ooooo)
  • brd: (no sound yet)
  • Cuck (truck)
  • Car
  • ears
  • Nonny (mommy)
  • Monnie (Mollie)
  • Sis (Mollie)
  • Daddy
  • Bak (Vacuum) - favorite thing, favorite word
  • pane (airplane)
  • Nooooooo
  • Tee (tree)
  • Nack (snack) - your first word that you used for almost everything!
  • sock
  • shoes
  • ears
  • eyes
  • milk
  • Hep (help)
  • out
  • cold
  • hot
  • beer (bear)
  • peas (please)
  • app (apple)
  • toot
  • eggs
  • mo (more)
  • bubble
  • owl
  • tactor (tractor)
You are really good at growling, imitating everything, making funny faces, and just being hilarious.

You quit your paci at 16 months like a boss, and you have been on a floor bed for about the same amount of time.  You have been sleeping much better until we went to the mountains for five days... that was rough, but could have been rougher.

You are rolling on your back in the tub and blowing bubbles.  You love to create tidal waves in the bath and bath time is literally your favorite time in the world.  You giggle and laugh and play and it fills me with joy.

You hit your head all the time... ALL. THE.  TIME.  I can't do anything about it.  I try so hard, but you put your head down and go, and you just run into and trip over everything, but you are learning quickly how to navigate your world.  Grandpa Ed made you a helper tower at Thanksgiving and you navigate it like a pro.  You love to be able to stand up with us while we are cooking... soon you will be helping too.

You love to play with cars and trucks, and you love to hit people.  I am working to redirect you to hitting a pillow or the wall, but not people.  We shall see if you are better about it when we start school again in January, and you head into toddler class with Ms. Desi and Mayra.

You are giving lots of hugs and kisses, which just melts my heart.  You just walk over and give all of us (me, Daddy, Mollie) a hug and we all just melt and say "AWWWWW!"  We love how loving you are, but you should really stop hitting ;-).

You... my gorgeous son... my beautiful boy... are incredible.  You are loved, you are wanted, and I am so grateful to be your mommy.

This was your first time to participate in decorating.  Mostly you liked to climb the ladders, and you were a pro.  The decorations were "balls" to you.  Thank goodness they were shatter proof, because you pulled every one of them at your height off the tree, should "BALL" and threw it to the ground with all your might!

Your sis is super into Trolls right now, so she likes to color her hair - she wanted you to participate... You are welcome.  ;-)

Look how big you are on your first day (well close to your first day of toddler class at Mount Juliet Montessori) - you finished NIDO in December and began the year 2017 in TODDLER CLASS at MJMA.

You love being outside.  I'm excited for the Spring when we can get out more, but you don't seem to mind the cold as much as your sister, so I better bundle up this winter and be ready to get outside with you!

You decided you wanted to hang out in Elementary for a bit!  You will be there one day...

You and your friend Neve.  You guys began your friendship even earlier than Keenan and Mollie started theirs.  You are very sweet with her.

See what I mean?

You enjoy getting into your friend's car seats.  It is a ride to you!

My phone display.  I just liked this pic!

Mommy and Daddy went out with Will's mom and dad (Allison and Jared), so you spent the evening with Emma's family (Tarsila and JC).  You did great, but we had to come and get you in the middle of the night because you wanted your own bed!

Not sure how this pic was taken... Mollie and I are clearly exhausted, but you are ready for your close-up.

A pic of you working hard... on your tummy.  You like to do that.  Also... catch the gate in the background.  It no longer keeps you out, so this is likely the last pic of that.  We got rid of the gate...

You had a great time in this riding cart at the store, so I took a pic.  Usually you are so serious in photos, but this is my smiley happy boy :-)  You just usually put on your "Ain't no thang" face for the camera.

You and your silly sis on Thanksgiving Day 2016.  Your sister wanted to be Branch from Trolls.  You look just like your daddy.  I bought these clothes on purpose... or Grandma did.  :-)

Hunting for our Christmas Tree at the Tree Farm!

We went with Mommy's best friend, Aunt Jess, and her family to the Tree Farm this year.  We had so much fun!

You enjoy riding on Daddy's shoulders!

Hanging out on the swing at the Tree Farm!

Our pic with both families and Grandpa Ed at the Tree Farm.

Polar Express Train on Thanksgiving Weekend!

Your "Ain't No Thang" face for most pictures.

Sis with an Elf!

Your first time meeting Santa and you were letting him know how things worked.  I'm sure he wished he could take you back to the North Pole to be an elf.

You like to climb into baskets... here you are discovering the inner workings of your school bus.

Sis is explaining to you why she is walking around in our Christmas stockings.

Here you go... climbing again!

helping Sis!

Explaining to her how you are going to throw every single ornament she puts on the tree to the ground with great passion.

Your new helper tower!  Grandpa Ed built it for you at Thanksgiving.  You love it.  You spend a lot of time on this thing!

Christmas Tree Farm pics!

Polar Express Pics!

Swim Maintenance.  You are on top.  You were 15 months at the time, but now you do not have a pacifier anymore - lost that at 16 months.  Your next swim maintenance is in February.  You now roll over on your back in the tub and float in the water AND blow bubbles... hoping for a really great swim maintenance where you show mamma the life-saving techniques she needs to know you are mastering :-)

I love you,
Mommy
