32 Months

Between Halloween, play dates with friends, your school fall festival, trips to Chuck-E-Cheese, our swimming maintenance classes and your first trip to IL with me for work, we have been busy!

Daddy pulling you out of the skee ball machine... you got all the way up under the glass.  We think you are hilarious!

I got you this outfit (and one other) to wear on Halloween (and the day before).  I couldn't resist... this is adorable!

One of my best friends, and you and RL have known each other your whole lives.  Our little family went as the Wicked Witch of the West, Scarecrow, Dorothy and cousin Jimmy was the Cowardly Lion.  Aunt Jess, Uncle Steve and RL went as Curious George, the Man in the Yellow Hat and the Balloon Vendor.

This one made me laugh out loud!  Everyone at the mall (Cool Springs Galleria) wanted to take pics and made comments that we had "best family participation!!"  Can't wait until next year!

We went to the Monkey TreeHouse in Cool Springs with your friends Keenan and Olivia - it was so much fun!  You seem to have a growing interest in dolls and figures.  You are so much fun at playing pretend!

Swimming Maintenance Classes - 5 classes through the fall and winter.  The first class was rough (in October), the second and third classes in November were great!  Next one in February! You are doing so well my little love!

We had a double at your swim lessons on November 16th, so we went for frozen yogurt after... you have a sweet tooth like your mom!

My favorite thing you are doing right now is playing pretend.  Of course your ability to remember and reason and understand basically blows my mind, but it is your pretend play that makes me want to ugly cry.  It is beautiful!  We like to pretend to give each other presents like hot air baloons, airplanes, bicycles, tunnels, etc.  You like to pretend lions and Zurg (from Toy Story) are chasing us or are "going to get us," so every single night we rush to brush our teeth and get on our pj's to avoid being "gotten!"

Your sleeping is CRAY-CRAY!  You didn't take a nap yesterday, so I was able to get you to bed around 7:15, but when you do have a normal 2 hour nap, you push bedtime to 9:30 or 10:00 and it is wearing us out!  We'll see how tonight goes!  You are surprisingly well-adjusted for a wee lass of TWO!  You have your little meltdowns, but if we do a good job of managing those, you rock it out.

I can't believe you are closing in on THREE years old!  It doesn't seem real!  We are trying for another little Janiszewski, but it is taking much longer than expected.  We ask you all the time if you want a little brother or a little sister and you always (except once) reply with "BOY!" or "Little Brudder!"  So... we shall see ;-) I know you will be a wonderful big sister when that time comes!

That's all for now, little love.  I would love to be disciplined enough to do these weekly because I forget so much, but with our busy and active lives, I think this is pretty great! I can't even believe how amazing, fun, challenging and hilarious you are!  I look forward to each day!

Love you to the moon and back!

Well Hello Mollie ~ 31 Months and a Little Bit More

Hey Sweets...

So... it has been three months since I posted a blog about you.  Before you were born, your daddy created a website, www.wellhellomollie.com, for me to post my thoughts prior to welcoming you to the world and then to document our amazing journey!  I have loved this, but I need to be able to do it on-the-go and I was having a little trouble with the access and security of the website, but hopefully we can figure that out.  In the meantime... I have started a new one on which I can document our journeys about a lot of things.

It makes me sad that I haven't documented your last three months as they have been some of the most hilarious, full-of-growth and crazy months we have had!  I've missed documenting the summer when Aunt Jenny and your cousins Olivia and Lily came to spend two weeks with us and Aunt Jenny found out she was pregnant with your newest little cousin due in March.

We have had a lot of visitors this summer and early fall with Grammie spending a week with you in early September while mommy and daddy went to New York City.  Then Pappa Ed and Auntie Veronica came to town for a few days (also in September) and SURPRISE!, she is pregnant too!  It is in the water!  Then Grandma & Pappa Penrod came to town and Uncle Abe, Aunt Val and Baby Jimmy joined us, and we had so much fun!

I started a new job back in May while I was still working for Vanderbilt, then at the end of August - I left Vanderbilt to work for BlueGate Musicals full-time, as an independent contractor.  I am loving it! I am working in theatre and in marketing... two of my favorite things.  That has, however, created a little issue since I travel so much.  You have had a little trouble adjusting especially when daddy comes home and mommy leaves.  I thought I was doing the right thing by keeping you in your routine and at school, but now I am changing my strategy and I will be taking you with me.  Let's see how that goes!  You have been quite emotional lately... which can be hard to handle when I am not sure what the issue is, but let's hope that you becoming my little travel buddy helps!

How to even begin to document all the adorable, crazy amazing, incredible, and fantastic things you have done, are doing?  I hope to incorporate those things along the way as I settle back into telling our story.  I am giving myself grace and moving forward!  I don't want to let any more time pass.

I love you little monkey!
